Badges For Baseball

The Badges for Baseball program is associated with the Cal Ripken, Sr. foundation to help build character and teach critical life lessons to your people by pairing cops and kids together to play and learn in a safe, consistent manner.

What is Badges For Baseball?

Badges-For-Baseball-1

Badges for Baseball, was created in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Justice as a juvenile crime prevention initiative. It’s a simple concept: pair cops and kids together to play and learn. We work to enhance the relationship between law enforcement and kids in underserved communities across the country using baseball as the hook. The work is not easy, but THE RESULTS ARE REMARKABLE. Law enforcement officers become the coaches, using team sports and our HEALTHY CHOICES, HEALTHY CHILDREN curriculum to teach important lessons about teamwork, communication, respect, and leadership that can be used both on and off the field.
