Community-based mentoring is the traditional Big Brothers Big Sisters relationship, where Bigs and Littles get together on their own to share fun activities they both enjoy. Community Based Programs-Meet 2 times a month.
Youth ages 7–14 are matched with caring volunteers who serve as friends and mentors. Big Brothers and Big Sisters include their Littles in activities they both enjoy like ball games, playing board games or baking cookies. It costs $1,300 to support a match for 1 year and currently there are 50 children on the waiting list to be matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister.
